CTC Union launches new series of Optical Amplifiers Preamps
The FRM220-OAP17 and FRM220-OAP10 are single channel optical amplifier/preamp module that operate at the receiving end of an optical link and provide multi-function, low noise, Erbium-Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA) solutions.
Designed for optical amplification to compensate for losses in a De-multiplexer located near the optical receiver, these cards feature medium to low input power sensitivity, medium output power, and medium gain. The FRM220-OAP17 supports signal gain 25 ~ 35dB and stable saturated output power up to 17 dBm, while the FRM220-OAP10 supports signal gain 15 ~ 25dB and saturated output power up to 10 dBm. In addition, they support Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and advanced performance monitoring via rack management or RS-232 console interface. The EDFA series realize flexibility and high-speed transmission for metro Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) applications.
